The indie gaming newsletter, Pantaloon, has taken a bold step by launching a fresh publishing label. Currently, this new venture is backing two intriguing titles: the narrative-driven game Sub-Verge and a Solitaire project called Occlude. Previously, Pantaloon served as a newsletter and helpful resource for indie game developers, boasting nearly 30,000 subscribers.
“The world probably doesn’t need another indie publisher,” remarked founder Jamin Smith.
He explained, “Our idea is rooted in a different set of principles. With our established platform and terms that prioritize unique agency and security for our development partners, we aim to embrace risk. We are on the lookout for unusual or experimental games that are eager to navigate untapped or turbulent genre waters.
“‘A home for misfits’ isn’t just a catchphrase; it’s an invitation for those games that defy the conventional publishing framework to join us.”
