A version of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero for the Switch 2 has apparently been rated in Saudi Arabia.
Bandai Namco has announced four Switch 2 titles so far, but Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero wasn’t one of them.
It looks like Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is set to make its debut on the Switch 2, at least according to a recent age rating. This addition could be a significant boost for the Switch 2’s collection of fighting games.
Originally developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero hit the market for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in October 2024. The game was a massive success, selling 3 million copies within just 24 hours of its release. By February 2025, it had exceeded 5 million in total sales, earning a spot as one of the most successful fighting games recently.
Recently, Gmedia_Games, a Twitter user, revealed that a Switch 2 version of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero was rated in Saudi Arabia, intended for players aged 12 and up, aligning with its previous ratings. Despite not being among the officially confirmed Switch 2 games yet, this rating hints that a port might be on the horizon, even if it’s not a launch day title.
Bandai Namco’s Switch 2 Lineup Is Already Looking Strong
Bandai Namco’s roster for the Switch 2 is shaping up well, even without Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero. The lineup includes several titles, most notably the Switch 2 edition of Elden Ring, although it doesn’t have a set release date yet. Tamagotchi Plaza is set to launch on June 27, with the Dark Pac-Man spin-off, Shadow Labyrinth, following on July 18. Additionally, Bandai Namco is working on Kirby Air Riders, which will be published by Nintendo.
Rumors of a Switch 2 port for Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero have circulated since March 2025. If the game does launch on Nintendo’s next console, it would likely be a standout choice for fans of fighting games. Currently, Street Fighter 6 is the flagship fighting game confirmed for the Switch 2’s day-one availability.
