GTA Online will also launch on the same day in a standalone format , something Rockstar Games did with Red Dead Online a few months ago . Starting on November 11, players will be able to choose if they want to buy the full version of Grand Theft Auto V to enjoy the story and the online mode, or if instead they prefer to buy only the multiplayer without going through the singleplayer mode.

As previously announced, PS5 players will be able to enjoy GTA Online for its first three months, which means that until February 11, this mode will be playable for free on Sony’s next-generation console.

It was also announced today that GTA 5 multiplayer will soon receive new content as part of its summer update that “will include special benefits that players will be able to take advantage of in these enhanced and expanded versions when they are released.”

Rockstar Games has also dropped that they will soon celebrate the 20th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto III with “a lot of fun surprises” some of which will be destined for GTA Online players.
On forums speculation has already begun about a possible remake or remaster of this iconic installment, although at the moment there is no more information about it. The company assures that they have many more things to tell and perhaps they will do so during E3 2021.
