New Pokémon Snap, Monster Hunter Rise and Resident Evil 8: Village have been the three best-selling titles of the last two weeks in Japan. Nintendo Switch has once again been the most acquired console.
Famitsu has published its estimate of video game and console sales in Japan, this time for two weeks: from April 26 to May 9. This period has been one strongly marked by new releases, specifically that of three great games: New Pokémon Snap, Resident Evil 8: Village and Returnal.
Precisely New Pokémon Snap has been the best-selling game of this period with more than 190,000 units in its first 10 days on the market. Second place goes to Monster Hunter Rise , which continues to sell well with more than 170,000 new copies on Nintendo Switch. Resident Evil 8: Village takes third place thanks to its 149,884 physical copies sold between the PS4 and PS5 versions. As noted in Gematsu , Returnal does not appear in the top 10 , so it has sold less than 29,549 copies in its Japanese premiere.

Switch remains leader in Japan for another week
In terms of console sales, Nintendo Switch once again leads the ranking with a total of 236,028 units sold in Japan. Also in Spain it has been the best-selling console of the last week . The second has been acquired PS5 with 53,640 consoles between its two models, followed by 2584 units PS4 and 1207 Series Xbox X / S . New generation consoles continue to have stock problems in the Asian country.
