CD Projekt RED has announced an exciting development: they’re employing Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology to bring Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition to the Nintendo Switch 2.
In a conversation with Digital Foundry, they revealed, “We’re taking advantage of a DLSS version tailored for the Nintendo Switch 2, utilizing Nvidia’s Tensor cores. You’ll experience DLSS in all its four modes, whether you’re playing in handheld or docked configurations, and you can expect different performance and quality settings for each.”
The team also mentioned their current resolution goals: “In docked quality mode, docked performance mode, and handheld quality mode, we’re aiming for a 1080p experience. For the handheld performance mode, the target shifts to 720p.”
In this immersive open-world RPG, you’ll dive into the shoes of V, a cyber-enhanced mercenary navigating the gritty streets of Night City. Fight for both survival and glory in the base game, and experience intriguing new plots with the Phantom Liberty expansion that takes on a spy-thriller twist.
Optimizations abound for every gameplay style. Whether you prefer motion controls during combat, the precision of Gyroscope Mode, or the convenience of tapping, swiping, or pinching through menus, there’s something for everyone. Plus, the Joy-Con 2 (R) can even be used like a mouse for navigating your inventory.
Mark your calendars: Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is set to release both physically and digitally via the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025. Prepare for an adventure like no other!
