Being Jon Lindemann is an experience in itself, blending a sense of identity with the gaming world.
This week, we unveiled our Top Five Games of 2024, a tradition that’s become a staple for RFN listeners. If you’re joining us for the first time, know that this isn’t about strict rules or boundaries. Essentially, all that’s needed is that the game was released on a Nintendo system in 2024. However, even these criteria are open to interpretation. While typically we’re discussing games actually played in 2024, there have been exceptional instances where this wasn’t the case.
Given how broad and flexible these guidelines are, trying to come up with a unified Top Five list would be a futile exercise, so each of us shares our personal picks.
Interestingly, this year saw some overlap, with two of us selecting the same game for our #1 spot. I bet you won’t be able to guess which game took that top honor, and I’m confident in saying so. Despite this, I fully expect someone to claim they predicted it, but I’m wise to such fibs.
Feel free to send us your electronic whispers—those sly digital guesses—through the digital ether.
This episode was skillfully edited by Guillaume Veillette. Our catchy “Men of Leisure” theme was specially created for Radio Free Nintendo by Perry Burkum. Check out more of his tunes on Perry’s SoundCloud. As for the Radio Free Nintendo logo, that’s the handiwork of Connor Strickland. Explore his work further on his website.
To wrap up this episode, we ended with “Chasing After Dad” from Another Code Recollection, a track requested by A.G. All rights to this music belong to Nintendo Co., Ltd.
