Feeling the itch to dive into Dune Awakening after all the buzz, yet still haven’t had the chance to play it? Well, you’re in luck! Soon, you can jump into the action with an open beta weekend, scheduled from May 9 to May 12.
To get in on the action, you have a couple of options. You can wishlist the game before May 9 for a chance at entry, or snag one of the many beta codes the team will be distributing over the weekend. It’s open, but there’s a catch—only those with a bit of luck will step through the door.
This beta lands just days before the planned release date of May 15, which has been postponed so Funcom can add that final polish to ensure everything is as smooth as possible for launch.
During the beta, you’ll explore the first two regions, which should keep you busy for around 20 hours, if you dig deep. You’ll get the chance to navigate through a few Research Facilities, test out the early abilities of different classes, and engage in some PvP at ship crash sites. It’s a solid taste of what’s to come. If you’re curious about our hands-on impressions, we’ve got a detailed preview of this slice of Dune Awakening available today.
Excited for the open beta? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
