In Synth Beasts, you’re thrust into the shoes of a “Synth,” a failed experiment that’s managed to break free from its creator’s lab nestled on a mysterious island. As you venture through the surrounding archipelago, you’ll come across other Synths. It’s worth noting, though, that they’re not the friendliest bunch. To progress, you must challenge and defeat them in battle. Upon securing victory, you can unlock these Synths, making them playable and gaining access to their distinct abilities, which are crucial for both combat and exploration.
When you bring your Synths into battle, they earn experience points, leveling up in the process. Every Synth boasts five levels of progression, each offering unique bonuses. However, with each level gained, accumulating more experience becomes increasingly challenging. To ensure your team remains potent and unlocks new abilities, it’s wise to frequently switch between your various Synths.
Take the “Psitek” Synth as a case in point. Right from level one, it can light torches. Once it reaches level three, though, it can destroy projectiles with a fire slash – an essential ability for specific dungeons. Beyond that, most Psitek level-up bonuses enhance battle skills. So, you might find it more strategic to switch to another Synth to access new abilities without the usual experience grind.
Early on in your journey, you gain control of a scientist’s boat, now ready for your command. The Genesis Archipelago is dotted with small islands, teeming with bonuses, extra hearts, stat-boosting items, and currency for in-game purchases. For those who might not fancy a thorough exploration, there’s the option to head straight to the main islands to confront the scientists and their dubious operations directly.
The principal islands house boss Synths, but don’t overlook the optional islands; they often hide more Synths ready for capture. Gathering all 40+ Synths is no easy task, but each location in the Genesis Archipelago offers its own unique rewards for players who dare to explore.
Embark on this adventure, uncover hidden gems across the Genesis Archipelago, and put a halt to the scientists’ dark experiments! You can jump into Synth Beasts in 2025 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and the Microsoft Store.
