A few days after tackling a significant bug in Monster Hunter Wilds that stopped players in their tracks, Capcom has identified yet another glitch hindering progress through the game’s storyline. Luckily, they’ve scheduled an update for next Monday, March 10, that promises to bring a slew of fixes.
The new issue crops up during the “Omens” mission in Chapter 5-1. According to a Steam forum post from March 1, players report being prompted to lift their Hunting Rank to move forward in the quest, even when they’ve already exceeded the necessary level.
While some forum users have shared workarounds that might help solve the problem, it might be more convenient to hold off for the official patch to make sure the bug is thoroughly dealt with.
Capcom has shared their patch notes, detailing what next week’s update for Monster Hunter Wilds will cover. However, they haven’t specified an exact release time yet. Going by past updates, you might want to stay offline until your game updates completely to avoid sudden disconnections during online play. Until then, happy hunting!
