For those eagerly awaiting the PS5 Pro’s capabilities, get ready for some jaw-dropping visuals in the next big RPG, all thanks to Sony’s innovative PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology. The RPG in the spotlight? It’s Capcom’s much-anticipated Monster Hunter Wilds, set to hit the shelves on February 28.
Monster Hunter Wilds is gearing up to be the newest addition to the roster of major AAA titles that boast PS5 Pro support right from the get-go. Capcom promises that players will experience enhanced visuals without sacrificing performance. However, the developers did caution that in particularly demanding scenarios, there might be occasional frame rate dips.
Here’s what players can expect specifically for the PS5 Pro:
1. Prioritize Resolution: With ray tracing switched on, expect a crisp output and rendering resolution of 3840 x 2160 and 3072 x 1728, locked at 30 fps.
2. Balanced: Keeping ray tracing active, the game offers a resolution of 3840 x 2160 and 2496 x 1404, with the frame rate bumped up to 40 fps.
3. Prioritize Frame Rate: Opting for smoother performance? Disabling ray tracing adjusts the resolutions to 3840 x 2160 and 1920 x 1080, allowing for a silky-smooth 60 fps.
Just a heads up, Monster Hunter Wilds is set for another round of free beta testing starting later today, and it will run until the evening of Sunday, February 9. If you’re keen to dive in, the beta can be added to your library right away through the PS Store.
