It looks like a movie adaptation of the newly-released Split Fiction is in the pipeline. According to a report by Variety, Story Kitchen is at the helm, busily assembling a team of actors, writers, and a director for the project. This company has quite the pedigree, having previously tackled adaptations like It Takes Two—which is with Amazon—as well as versions of Toejam and Earl, Slime Rancher, and Vampire Survivors.
Apparently, the buzz around this project is strong, with offers pouring in from several major Hollywood studios eager to get involved.
Split Fiction hit the shelves earlier this March and made quite the entrance by selling a whopping one million copies in its first 48 hours. By the end of its first week, sales had doubled to two million. The team at Hazelight shared their excitement over this achievement on Bluesky, stating, “Holy crap, we’re blown away! Simply amazing.” They added, “Thank you to all of our new and old fans – we love how excited you are for our game.”
As for the It Takes Two film, it’s got some star power behind it, with none other than Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson lined up to participate. Plus, the screenplay is in the capable hands of Pat Casey and Josh Miller, the writers behind Sonic the Hedgehog.
