Ubisoft, the renowned French publisher, has expressed its regret over the premature leak of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It’s disheartening to see this happen, especially so close to the game’s official launch.
Through a post on the official Assassin’s Creed subreddit, Ubisoft has appealed to early players to refrain from spoiling the experience for the rest of the community. The game is slated for release on March 20th. However, some eager fans have managed to snag copies ahead of time, even spending up to $100 via auction sites, as noted on the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit.
Ubisoft acknowledged, “We know that Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been accessed by players before the scheduled release.” The company emphasized that their development team is diligently working on various patches to ensure the game meets the high standards expected for launch day. Importantly, any gameplay footage currently circulating does not reflect the polished final version intended for the public.
Acknowledging the impact of leaks, Ubisoft remarked, “These leaks can truly dampen the thrill of discovery and excitement for our player community. We kindly ask everyone to be considerate and not spoil the experience for others.” They extended their gratitude to the community members who are already taking initiative to protect others from potential spoilers.
So, stay in the shadows, dodge those spoilers, and keep a lookout on official channels for more surprises soon! The big day on March 20 is just around the corner.
