Exciting times are ahead! Fresh updates from the world of 2XKO have surfaced on social media, and they’re stirring up quite a buzz for this month. It’s all about the upcoming development update video, signaling a comprehensive briefing on game changes, developments around the character Jinx, and details about the next Alpha Lab test.
The person spilling the beans is none other than Ben Forbes, 2XKO’s editor-in-chief, who took to Twitter to share the news. He tweeted, “We just wrapped filming the next 2XKO update! We’re knee-deep in editing, production, and localization, but here’s a sneak peek: A thorough look at gameplay changes since Alpha Lab 1, insights about Alpha Lab 2, plus a showmatch featuring our dev team!”
Continuing in his tweet, Ben added, “The update is pretty comprehensive, so expect a long video—probably an hour or so. We’re aiming to release during the last week of March. We’re not quite ready for a flashy PowerPoint livestream just yet—but stay tuned…”
However, hold on to your hats—Ben did mention that this round of updates won’t include any new character reveals. So, no need to place any bets on that front.
Cast your mind back to last year when the 2XKO team teased us with a “See you next year” promise for new info in February. Instead, it was game director Shaun Rivera who took to Twitter to explain a few shifts, such as the expanded scope for the next Alpha Labs test and a new feature for the game.
As it seems, timelines at Riot have shuffled, leading to changes in the Alpha Lab plans and pushing the February update to this month. Regardless, with a 2023 release still on the horizon, an info-packed update will surely bring the clarity fans have been eagerly anticipating regarding what’s in the works and where 2XKO is headed next in the gaming scene.
