For enthusiasts of Age of Mythology: Retold, the wait is nearly over. After teasing the Immortal Pillars expansion at the Tokyo Game Show, we’re excited to announce its release on March 4. Pre-orders are up and running! This expansion is bursting with fresh content, including the addition of the Chinese pantheon, new maps, myth units, and gameplay features that’ll keep you on your toes. Want a sneak peek? Age of Empires II: DE and Age of Mythology: Retold Head to PlayStation 5

Here’s some exciting news: Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Mythology: Retold are coming to PlayStation 5. This is a huge step for our franchise, letting players enjoy these games on their preferred platforms while uniting our global community. Cross-play is about more than just convenience; it’s about making sure every player’s strategy can shine on a united battlefield.

Starting March 4, Age of Mythology: Retold will be available on PlayStation 5 with a host of new myths, cultures, and players to join the Immortal Pillars expansion launch. Players on PlayStation 5 will get all the content found in the Xbox and PC versions, including the chance to dive into the new Chinese pantheon.

As a bonus, those who grab the Premium Edition will kick off their journey five days early, starting February 27. Plus, they’ll get early access to the Immortal Pillars expansion and some exclusive Blessings for the Arena of the Gods mode.

Post-launch, all updates will hit every platform—Steam, Windows Store, Xbox, and PlayStation 5—at the same time, allowing players to game together seamlessly.

We’re introducing unique game modes in these DLCs focused on quick, repeatable experiences, encouraging fresh strategies and skills testing.
